Andrew Short- 8th in LA/Photo Gallery

A tough night in LA for Supercross.com Honda rider Andrew Short. A bad crash off the main event start involving Andrew's brother-in-law Ryan Morais and Trey Canard produced a red flag and a twenty minute wait for the restart. Once the gate dropped Shorty, no doubt worried about his family and friends involved in the crash, went down in the first turn and was way behind the the field. Putting his head and trying to make moves on the tight LA track, Short fought hard to a 14th in the main event. He now sits 8th in the supercross series points.

Andrew and his mechanic Mark Valcore walk the track and check out the obstacles.

The LA track proved to be pretty technical as the night wore on, the dirt got harder and it got slippery.

In the heat race Andrew finished a strong third and had the sixth pick on the gate.

Andrew down in the first turn on the restart. When things go bad to worse...

Starting a good ten second behind the next guy, Short put on a hard charge all the way to the end of the race where he ended up 14th.
